Winter is a real phenomenon in northeastern North Dakota. Located into the heavily wooded Pembina Gorge is an alpine ski area.

The resort is 7 miles west of Walhalla on Highway 55 and has gained widespread popularity throughout North Dakota, Minnesota and Canada. The gorgeous Pembina Gorge forms the impressive backdrop for Frost Fire.

The resort has always had a lot of snow. On spending a ski day at Frost Fire, unwind and kick up your heels in the easy going atmosphere of the second oldest town in the state.
