Located in the scenic Minnesota River Valley, Mount Kato Ski Area offers the Midwestern skier a short lift line and a good choice of beginner and intermediate runs with 19 trails on 55 skiable acres and eight chairlifts (five quad and three double).

You may find there a two-level chalet, cafeteria, rental shop, ski shop and certified ski school on the premises.

The beginners may want to take advantage of a free lesson, available when renting a full set of equipment (You must be 13 years or older).

There is also a private, group and other special learn-to-ski programs taught by PSIA-certified instructors at Mount Kato.

If you take your children, there is a special program for ages 4 to 12 - Kato Kids. They will be grouped by their age and ability level.

Accommodations are available within five miles of the ski area.
