Buck Hill Ski Area

A cleared slope, a small building and a rope tow appeared just south of the Minnesota River and was called Buck Hill. It began to grow. Later, Buck boasted 4 lifts and 3 slopes. And its proximity to the Twin Cities and the variety of challenging runs was winning Buck ardent fans.

The location of Buck Hill actually got its start as a ski area in the 1930's.

Nowadays, Buck Hill is still owned by the Stone family. The resort is still operated with the family in mind, offering a full range of skiing programs for the young and young-at-heart. Its reputation as a quality ski area is known across the country. Their racing program is also nationally-acclaimed.
