Berkshire East Ski Area

Berkshire East is located in a charming mountain valley at 1,840 feet. Skiers from southern New England relish this modest ski area in historical Charlemont as an option to the showy and costly ski resorts in Vermont.

It boasts 40 diverse trails include steep expert slopes for advanced skiers and snowboarders, as well as gentle trails for beginners. Berkshire East has expanded another 4,000 square feet to its core base lodge and now it covers about 20,000 square feet. The visitors may enjoy the outstanding view of the slopes out of the lodge windows.

You may also relish a new secondary West Lodge. After reconstruction, the West Lodge is suitable for private and group parties. On-slope condos are offered by the night or the week, and historic Charlemont caters a diversity of lodgings and dining facilities not far away. The resort is 114 miles west of Boston, 17 miles west of Greefield. You may drive I-90 to I-91 north. Then choose Exit 26 go west on Mohawk trail (Route 2).
