Sugarloaf boasts a great number of trails that can suit all the ski skills. The world class conditions cater top service here.
Sugarloaf USA

Sugarloaf USA is Maine's biggest ski mountain. The continuous, one-mountain vertical descent of 2,820 feet, the longest in the East, and a summit elevation of 4,237 feet is a remarkable feature of Sugarloaf USA that takes pride in more than 54 miles of runs varying from beginner to expert-only.

133 runs cover the resort’s 1,400 acres of ski area, as well as 3 runs more than 3 miles long, 3 terrain parks and 2 half-pipes. Sugarloaf USA's 4,237-foot peak is operated by a high-capacity quad, and the rest of the mountain is serviced by 2 high-speed super-quads and 1 high-capacity quad chair, a triple and eight double chairs, and one surface lift.

Snowmaking is available at all trails in all 15 lift areas. Grooming is performed every night by 12 special techniques, with a distance served equal to the one between Portland, Maine, and Chicago on the night. Sugarloaf/USA resort ski school is consistently evaluated as the best eastern school and caters more than 50 full-time and 100 part-time PSIA-certified trainers and a range of unique programs all consistent with the American teaching technique.

Special seminars on technique enhancement, powder and bump skiing, telemarking and snowboarding are regularly conducted. The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is the largest in Maine that provides 105 kilometers of groomed runs and a 6,000 square foot solar-heated locale.

Sugarloaf USA's western-style atmosphere originates from its village area, where you can find about 10 alpine shops and 18 on-mountain dining sites. Sugarloaf USA is nested 36 miles north from Farmington on Route 27 in the western mountains of Maine. It will take you about 3 ½ to 4 hours to get from the Greater Boston area. It is a bit more than 2 hours from Portland, Bangor, Augusta or Waterville, Maine, and Montreal.
