Chestnut Mountain Resort is located at the top of a wooded cliff facing the Mississippi River and offers full service skiing and lodging amenities. Chestnut provides 17 ski trails for novice and those who have more experience. The longest one is 3,500 feet and is a 475 foot vertical drop. And the snowmaking and grooming systems here are modernized and improved all the time to provide the best ever surface for skiing and snowboarding. Chestnut also caters a seven-acre terrain park called "The Far Side" and a half-pipe dubbed "Pipe Dreams". The Far Side offers quarter-pipes, rails and fun boxes, and a triple chair lift. The resort is equipped with two quad chairs, three triple chairs and three surface lifts. Chestnut also has erected a new 20,000 square foot Village Ski Center. Here you can find full service amenities such as ticketing, gear rental, Peak Provisions (clothing, ski & snowboard shop) ski and snowboard classes, ski patrol and other guest services.
