Silver Mountain is an unexplored wealth at the heart of north Idaho's mining country. Where gold diggers once found rich fields of silver, white sport enthusiasts today enjoy the lightest, driest powder snow in the Northwest with a world-class gondola lifts. It's a skier's mountain with varied and difficult slopes. Two 6,300-ft. mountain peaks, three bowls, 2,200 vertical feet, 53 trails, thrilling tree skiing and the best powder are what you will find here. After a fresh portion of Rocky Mountain snow (usually about 300 inches) you can ski down Wardner Peak and make fresh trails all morning. Silver Mountain is compared to Telluride before the days when crowds of people arrived. Western hospitality, matchless guest services and family friendly costs are an excellent combination with acres of snow, wide slopes and breathtaking terrain: bumps, trees, chutes, meadows and rolling beginner trails.
You'll be amazed by the simplicity of getting there. No thrilling experience on the road. You just drive four-lane Interstate 90 to Kellogg, it takes 5 hours from Seattle, get on board the World's Longest Gondola, and after three miles up the mountain you will find yourself in full-service ski lodge.
Proximate lodgings vary from resort hotels and vacation homes to bed and breakfasts accommodations.
The Silver Mountain base village is nested at Exit 49 off Interstate 90. Resort Information
