Durango Mountain Resort
Durango Mountain Resort boasts the variety of trails from beginners to expert and well-developed lift network. The resort life caters plenty of options, such as different dining, shopping facilities and nightclubs.
Durango Mountain Resort

Durango Mountain Resort is nested in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado, 25 miles north of Durango. Engraved by glaciers, the mountain is a unique combination of roller coaster ledges and headwalls, double fall lines and glades, and wide-open cruisers with dramatic sceneries.

Annual snowfall here is over 260 inches and Durango Mountain Resort deserved the #1 in North America for winter weather.

The front side of the mountain has many trails named after Dante's Divine Comedy: Pandemonium, Paradise, Catharsis, Demon, Divinity and more. The front side also provides some of Durango Mountain Resort's prime mogul trails (Lower Hades and Styx) as well as the beginner terrain neighboring the Twilight chairlift.

Durango Mountain Resort has some of its peculiar trails on the back side, such as Dead Spike, Peace, and Sally's Run. The back side is a combination of great cruisers (grooming at this resort is regarded as some of the best in Colorado) and more difficult steep slopes. If you are an experienced skier or rider then you may enjoy the big bumps on Elliott's, Wapiti, or Bull Run, or the glades of Paul's Park.

You can find here also 2 terrain parks: Paradise Terrain Park, equipped with a 400 feet halfpipe, hits, rails & drops; and Pitchfork Terrain Park with hips, rails, table tops and gaps.

After spending a day of daring skiing and boarding, you may relish the splendid views of the San Juan Mountains while scrutinizing a diversity of shopping and dining facilities and taking part in resort activities. The resort town is the heart of your holiday and an amazing place to rest and enjoy the sunny minutes in a beach chair, or observe the evening alpenglow above the Needles Peaks.

The resort has lots of activities to offer: a beautiful winter train ride, dinner sleigh ride, snowmobile skiing or tours, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, casino, snow tubing, spectacular Mesa Verde National Park and many more.

The options in accommodation are as diverse as the resort activities, ranging from the luxurious mount condominiums of Durango Mountain Resort's comfortable alpine village to the proximate Old West town of Durango. Durango boasts a wide choice of restaurants, shopping facilities and nightlife.
