Uludag Mountain (2543 m) was called Bithynian Olympus in ancient times. Today Uludag is a popular place for picnics in summer, and destination of Alpine skiers in winter. The ski area starts at the altitude of 1765 m and ends at the top of the mountain.

Uludag sport center has about 15 prime hotels; accommodation rate includes usage of the hotels’ lifts. Skiers may go up over the slope by any other lift, but they will have to pay then.

The best trails (from Sahinkaya Tepe and Tutyeli Tepe) are laid over the treeless slopes. Dense forest starts lower the resort and presents wonderful opportunity for foot walking. The area of Uludag is rich in mineral springs.

Uludag is famous as perfect place for family rest. There are a lot of trails for beginners there. Major hotels have instructors who may teach children to do first ski steps, and  experienced skiers – to improve their skills.

We recommend you to visit Bursa city (1.5 million inhabitants). It was the capital of the Ottoman Empire in XIV century. Many of its monuments of architecture deserve special attention, especially Ulu Jami and Yesil Jami mosques (XV century). Today Bursa is famous by production of fabrics and silk wares that are sold in special shops and markets. It will be interesting to go to  Yeni  Kaplica bath – one of the best in Turkey. It was built by Rustem pasha, the grand vizier of Suleiman II. The halls, pools, and fountains still amaze visitors with their magnificence.
