Verbier
Verbier is considered to be one of the world's best ski resorts. It offers well-developed network as well as great amount of diverse trails.
Verbier

Over the last two decades Verbier, a tiny village above Rhone Valley, turned into the world-class resort. The view that opens from Verbier impresses: just before your eyes you see the whole chain of the Bernese Oberland and Jungfrau peak, in the West – Mont Blanc, in the east – Zermatt, in the south - Grand-Combin peak.

Verbier is the center of The Four Valleys ski region that unites the trails of Bruson, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon and some other resorts at the elevation from 820 to 3300 m.

All the areas of the Four Valleys are connected by the network of lifts, but the trails laid between these areas are quite difficult. Beginners shall better go to the trails of La Tzoumaz and Thyon and not to take risks going farther.

Intermediate skiers are recommended to go to the areas of Le Ruinette and   Lac des Vaux, many intermediate skiers prefer Verbier - Le Ruinette - Gentianes pass axis. One may get to the top of Mont Fort (3300 m), but here starts the most difficult trail Tortin (5000 m, elevation change 1280 m) requiring courage and experience. Te black trail also goes to Tortin from Chassure (2500 m, elevation change 700 m). The third famous black trail goes through a narrow corridor to Les Attelas.

La Chaux has a half-pipe for snowboarders, this sport is as popular here as off-trail skiing, especially since one may ski on the Mont Fort glacier where competitions for extreme sportsmen are held.

Verbier and the Whole region of the Four Valleys can accommodate about 45 000 guests at a time. Fantastic sport center has swimming pools, saunas, skating rink, courts, tanning salon. Night life in Verbier is also in full swing, bars and restaurants here are cheaper than in Zermatt.
