Rogla is considered to be a climatic company resort, which is owned and operated by Unior, a major equipment manufacturer in Zrece. It is situated on the very top of Pohorje, which is one of the Slovenia’s mountain massives, forming the last southeastern arm of Alps. The resort provides 25 km ski runs and more than 2 km long sledging slope, which can conquer altitudes of 43 m on beginners runs to 359 m on its longest run of 1300 m. as for the runs category, they are mostly adjusted for the beginners and intermediates. And there is one belonging to FIS category. Romantic people can also enjoy night skiing, which is available at the Rogla ski resort. Besides skiing, there are panoramic helicopter flights or rides by snowmobile available. In addition, there are Zreee Thermae, which provides various sporting activities, such as fitness, cycling, mountaineering, horseback riding, sightseeing, fitness, etc.
As for the lodging, it is possible to stay in one of the hotels or chalets, located on the top of the mountain, where there are 453 beds; in addition, one can stay in the spa town of Zrece. There are also 7 restaurants, three of which are in hotel Planja.
People, unsure in their skiing abilities can visit ski school, which is equipped by highly experienced instructors for all levels of visitors. As for the visitors with little children, there is a kindergarten at the resort, where kids are kept under constant supervision of experienced baby sitters.
It is also important that Slovenian Olympic center is located in Rogla, which lets all the visitors enjoy numerous additional activities, such as skating, tennis, closed pool and squash gyms.
