Jasna is a well-known resort in the Slovakian Low Tatras. It regularly hosts national and international Alpine skiing competitions, including the World Cup Stages. The village stands at the northern side of Chopok mountain (2024 m) and main downhill trails are also laid over the northern side.

The most difficult trails are Pretekarska (2500 m) and Slalomovy Svah (1200 m), the easiest – Biela Put, Rodinna, Turistica and some others. FIS trail (3363 m) is very beautiful. The southern side is especially interesting for those who are fond of virgin snow skiing.

The resort is equipped with lifts of different types that virtually excludes lines before them.  Many trails are served with snow cannons. Ski schools offer courses for beginners and not very experienced skiers, group and private lessons, children’s courses.

There are about ten good hotels in Jasna, and also cottages and boardinghouses.  Two small resorts – Tale and Danovaly are located in close proximity to Jasna. They have their own opportunities for skiing, but bus regularly plies to Chopok’s lifts.

Jasna has swimming pools, saunas, gyms, bowling, shops, restaurants, cafes, discos and night bars.  Interesting excursions and hiking tours are also proposed.
