The Cardrona Alpine Resort is situated high on the mountains, 33 km from the town of Wanaka and 57 km from Queenstown. The resort lies on the South Island of New Zealand. It is considered to be made up of three distinct bowl area, the resort occupies about 320 hectares of snow covered, treeless slopes, and it provides terrain for skiers and / or snowboarders of all ability levels. There are ten apartments on site, each of them is equipped with two bedroom. Up to eight people can live in one apartment at a time. As for the off site lodging, it is also available in the nearby towns of Wanaka and Queenstown. There are also 4 restaurants: Cardrona Café, Mezz Café, Captain’s Pizerria and Noodle Bar at the resort area. There is also a separate 200 – seat café on the far side of the mountain with expansive decks. Cardona ski resort can also provide its clients with lockers, being available in rental for the tiny fee of $ 4, and there is a card phone, located in the Base cafeteria and even public email is available on the mountain for people, who feel like they can not wait to send some good news home. Base facilities also include snow shop, self service café, full rental service, including workshop, snow photo – on mountain photography, licensed childcare, apartment accommodation, medical center, ticketing and guest services. As for the Cardona’s medical service, its facilities, equipment, staff and curriculum are of a high standard. There is a registered doctor on duty at any time of the day, and there is also a physiotherapist on standby. Moreover, there is a trained patrol staff, monitoring on – slope constantly.
In addition, there are skiing and snowboarding schools, where highly qualified instructors can teach even the first time visitors to ski and snowboard.
