Madonna di Campiglio – unique resort where its aristocraticism does not conflict with sport spirit in any way. On the one hand everything here is designated for easy rest: plenty of restaurants and bars, fashionable hotels, tradition to arrange exotic shows, parades and other loud festivals. On the other hand it is here where an active skier can try to downhill interesting and difficult trails (skiing elevation 1500 - 2500 m). The World Cup stages are regularly held on 3-Tre trail starting from Palon (2123 m) and going to the village through the forest. But Spinale Direttissima (1900 m, elevation change 600 m) in Madonna di Campiglio area and Pista Competition (1100 m, elevation change 322 m) in Pinzolo area are considered to be much more difficult. Dolomiti di Brenta common ski-pass allows skiing in Pinzolo (Doss del Sabion upper lift station – 2100 m). Even experienced skiers will be satisfied with 180 km of trails located in this area of Dolomiti di Brenta. Nevertheless many of them go through Monte Vigo and Val di Sole to the slopes of Marilleva and Folgarida. Ski-pass is also valid there but ski bus plies between Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio only. It has been calculated that in average only one third of the resort guests goes in for skiing, the rest find other entertainments. Among most popular are outdoor lake skating-rink and swimming pools. Besides, hotels have prime fitness centers with pools and gyms. Madonna di Campiglio is an expensive resort, but high prices here are fully justified.
