From unbelievable skiing in the winter to a trail riding down the Red Deer River, Canyon Ski Area features the ultimate ski vacation. It is Alberta's largest non-mountain ski area. Add to this a vertical descent of 164 m, and five lifts serving 11 trails on 70 acres of Alberta snow and you will have an excellent destination for winter fun. If you are driving from Calgary, you should take 150 km north of Calgary on Highway 2, then take the 67 St. exit in Red Deer. You should track this direction east and follow the signs till you see Canyon Ski Area.
