Bad-Kleinkirchheim is an amazing place to spend ski vacation. Incredible views and great trails (especially for beginners and intermediate skiers) are among the main attractions of the site.

Bad-Kleinkirchheim is a charming village in Austrian state of Carinthia. Slogan used to advertise this resort “From trail to thermals” is absolutely true: as far back as the middle of XI century certain palsgrave Poto appreciated the curative power of local thermal springs, and from that time the valley has been considered to be almost sacred. Today’s tourists gladly bathe themselves in reviving water (26-33o C) of Roman Thermals or Thermals of St. Katherein.

The resort surroundings (the ski area is 1100-2050 m) are especially good for middle-level skiers who are on firm ground their. The only downhill requiring professional skill is FIS K 70 Franz Klammer (4200m, elevation change 920 m). The ski bus runs between lower stations of lifts in the major areas of skiing, they are Wieser Nock/Priedrof (1974-1963 m), Brunnach (1910 m), Strohsack (1910 m), Keiserburg (2055 m). There are a number of easy trailes for beginners not far from St. Oswald village. The trail near Bachshift lift (302 m, easy) is lightened on Tuesday till 21.30. 

Several kilometers to the north of Bad-Kleinkirchheim Falkertsee ski area is located. Here at the elevation from 1720 to 2300 m snow cover is present even in spring, the slopes are mostly average and easy.

Those who love cross-country skiing usually go to Nockhalm trail:  at 1950 m elevation you can enjoy beautiful mountain view. Strohsack and Bad-Kleinkirchheim, Falkerthaus and St. Oswald are connected by toboggan runs. In   Bad-Kleinkirchheim you can ride, play tennis and squash; 40 km of walking paths has been marked in the surroundings. But the main thing in the resort is grand thermal complex having total area of 1400 sq. m. It has two covered swimming pools and one open-air swimming pool, various hydromassage equipment, healing baths, fitness-center, beauty salon, tanning salon, sauna.

There are also a lot of entertainment apres-ski opportunities: disco, restaurants, bars and cafes, concerts shows and cinema – it is impossible to be bored in Bad-Kleinkirchheim. Apre-ski-shuttle – free ski bus runs from 18.30 till 0.30 (Nockberge Express).
