Thredbo

Thredbo boasts one of the largest snowmaking system in the world and the longest vertical drop in Australia. Here you may experience some of the most thrilling skiing in the South Hemisphere.
Thredbo

Thredbo boasts of the longest vertical drop in Australia (672m) with the longest trail of 5.5km, of course this trail twists down the slope in broad turns. Regardless of the length of the trails at Thredbo, the resort is a great appeal to numerous people with 2 express quads reaching the "super trails". The trails here are truly top to bottom.

The major problem that Thredbo has is that it has low resort elevation of only 1365m and at the bottom the trails turn into sleety mass.  Thredbo has enhanced its snowmaking system with 380 guns able to cover 60 hectares almost. Due to this Thredbo developed a custom-built novice’s area (Friday Flat).

The village at Thredbo boasts a true European atmosphere and caters a full range of lodging. You won’t find here plenty of ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Après-ski is outstanding with diversity of dining facilities and night clubs.
