Located at the north-east end of the Baw Baw National Park, Mt St. Gwinear is a cross-country ski area and is managed by Parks Victoria. The resort offers cross country skiing on both marked trails and the Baw Baw Plateau and toboggan slopes at the car park. You may hire toboggan from the ski hire in Erica and at the carpark on weekends or when there is sufficient snow.
Baw Baw downhill ski village is about 9km away across the Baw Baw plateau to the south-west and trails link the resort. You will spend 2-4 hours traveling there, depending on conditions and experience.
Onsnow amenities are limited with a winter Parks Victoria site office, ski patrol shed and a heated visitors centre with toilets.
Access is via 13km of dirt road on which wheel chains must be carried at all times.
