Ordino-Arcalis

Ordino-Arcalis ski region is the most remote from the country’s center: it is located at the distance of 22 km from the capital. Those who built this young resort (opened in 1982) tried to keep up-to-date in everything they could: according to their plan new buildings and technical constructions shall not spoil the original beauty of the nature and, above all, not affect the environment.  Thus local lifts allow optimal usage of the slopes. The majority of hotels, après-ski sites, and lodges are located downwards in the valley. Ski bus takes tourists to the lifts (15 min).

Slopes near Ordino-Arcalis face north-east and north-west that provides excellent snow quality. Ski zone is nested at the elevation from 1940 to 2600 m. The trails here are of different levels, mostly intermediate ones. The main advantages of the region are vast virgin slopes and multiple snowboard opportunities.

The resort has two sport complexes: Ordino Multisports Centre (swimming pool, tennis courts, squash, sauna, tanning salon) and Ordino Sport Centre (swimming pool, squash, bowling, weightlifting hall, and sauna). Common winter activities are snow surfing and snowshoeing.

The village sights are Nature Studying Center and Sorteny Natural Park.
