Grand Valira

Grand Valira region that includes villages of Enñamp, Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Soldeu El Tarter, and Canillo became the largest Andora’s resort. It was formed by uniting of two already known resorts: Pas de la Casa and Soldeu El Tarter.  Modern high-speed lift was built in Encamp, the end point of this ski region located at the distance of 6 km from Andorra’s capital. It helps tourists to get to 2500 m altitude and, enjoying skiing along different slopes using common ski-pass for all lifts, rich the towns of Grau Roig and Pas de la Kas without taking off their skis.

Grand Valira region borders on France, so in future may be united with the nearest French ski resorts to attract more tourists.  Uniting of the resorts enabled offering a wider range of skiing slopes.  Runs of different length and difficulty suttisfy the needs of beginners and experienced skiers.  The majority of slopes are equipped with artificial snow systems. Some trails are lightened even at night. There are a lot of opportunities for snowboarders: several fun parks with half-pipes, jumping boards, board cross track, and other entertainments.  Almost all hotels in the region are located in close proximity to lifts.

If not exhausted after skiing, one may visit sport center in Pas de la Casa and try different sports, play football, tennis, squash, work on his figure in the gym, or go skating at indoor ice palace in Canillo. One may move between the villages by ski-bus, taxi, or scheduled buses. All the villages of the region have a lot of restaurants, bars, and discos.

It is recommended to dedicate one of the days to Andorra’s capital – Andorra la Vella, its shops offer a lot of gifts to you and your friends. The way from the capital to any of the villages will not take more than 30 minutes.
